“Ukraine’s recovery is our common task,” stated Urmo Soonwald, editor-in-chief of Delfi and Eesti Päevaleht. “Over the years of the terrible war, Ukraine has made sure that it has many like-minded people and friends in Europe and the world. Fortunately, every war ends at some point, and we hope this will happen very soon in Ukraine. Unfortunately, such a positive scenario does not seem possible, as the onslaught and despair of the aggressor do not allow the flames of war to die down. Our shared responsibility is to think about how to help Ukraine become a modern, European, and secure country during and after the war.”

“Ukraine is strong and has extraordinary resilience. Its economic potential is limitless. The conference organized by Delfi Meedia, Miltton agency, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will be attended by leaders and representatives of key sectors of Ukraine, as well as entrepreneurs, bankers, and heads of government agencies from the Baltic and Scandinavian countries,” Soonvald continues.

“Every new contact is a step towards a stronger Ukraine; every new acquaintance and agreement strengthens Ukraine and Europe. Ukraine’s structure needs to be strengthened and supported as much as possible; an economically strong Ukraine is part of Europe’s security guarantee. I also thank our co-organizers – Miltton and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs – for taking on such a responsible task.”

One of the partners of the conference is the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Mariin Ratnik, Vice-Chancellor of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Foreign Economic Affairs and Development Cooperation, believes in the importance of international cooperation: “Economic cooperation with Ukraine today ensures the strength and resilience of the Ukrainian state even during the war. Supporting the economy today is also cheaper than rebuilding today’s Ukraine after the war’s end. Thus, every cent spent is an investment in Ukraine’s future. Today, Ukraine is a challenging environment for doing business, but not an impossible one. Estonian entrepreneurs actively and boldly develop business ties in Ukraine, and the Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs supports them as best it can. We are organizing industry business seminars in Ukraine and Estonia this year.”

Tetiana Tregobchuk, Managing director of Miltton Ukraine: “Ukraine is not just a resilient and brave country; Ukraine is a thriving center of opportunity, open to cooperation and investment. Ukraine offers many opportunities for investors. Our role is to help identify the best cooperation options for Northern European countries and Ukraine. Being on the ground, we know exactly what needs to be done to help Ukraine maintain the fragile balance between war and life. We can fight this terrible war and build a solid partnership and cooperation.”

The Ukrainian delegation consists of the following government officials and business representatives:

  • Rostyslav Shurma, Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine
  • David Arakhamiia, Leader of the “Servant of the People” Ukrainian parliament fraction
