Experienced communications professional Panu Mäenpää will return to Miltton as a Director to Miltton Networks from 6 February 2023. Mäenpää will strengthen the social dialogue between companies and organisations through communications.
Mäenpää has ten years of experience in communications, both in strategic planning and implementation as well as in social campaigning. He worked at Miltton from 2017 to 2021 as a Senior Advisor, leading one of the marketing communications teams. In addition to his communications agency experience, he has worked for several non-profit third sector organisations and most recently as Director of Media Relations and Corporate Culture at VR Group.
Mäenpää has served as the chairman of the board of human rights organisations Seta – LGBTI Rights in Finland 2015-2016 and Helsinki Pride 2020-2022. In January 2023, he was elected chairman of the board of The Finnish League for Human Rights.
“It is a pleasure to welcome Panu back to Miltton. Panu brings with him strong experience in strengthening the societal role of companies through public affairs and multi-channel communications,” says Elina Moisio, Managing Partner of Miltton Networks.
“The field of public affairs is constantly changing, as everyone has the opportunity to be a decision-maker, in any channel, from anywhere, at any time. Getting the messages that matter to a company across requires a strong sense of ownership and participation, both internally and externally, to achieve the best possible outcome. For me, it is particularly important to present messages in different ways to different audiences. Especially at a time when disinformation is a common adversary for all responsible actors,” says Mäenpää.
“We want to strengthen all forms of social dialogue between organisations, companies and people. Panu’s superpower is to engage through communication and stimulate social discussions,” Moisio continues.
Miltton is the largest communications consultancy in Finland, employing more than 400 experts in various fields. Miltton has experts in business, culture, creativity, media, NGOs, politics, research, sport and many other fields. Miltton’s team of influencer communication experts forms a close-knit network of influencing experts in Helsinki, Brussels, Stockholm, Tallinn and Washington DC.
