OBJECTIVE

An oceanic awakening exists to enable new kinds of partnerships and business models in the marine sector, generate ideas for industry innovation, innovate solutions to remove barriers to development and to generate a platform in which Wärtsilä and our collaborators are visibly making a difference.

There are barriers to development in marine industry and our cities are being kept from their potential change needs to come.

CREATIVE

An oceanic awakening’ is an initiative to define the future of the maritime industry. It aims at bringing industry stakeholders together to find solutions for the problems of shipping – connected with smart cities, smart grids, smart ports and smart ships. The wide set of executed communicational activities include film, advertising, event and exhibition design, public affairs, marketing communication, concept design and public relations. Miltton acts as Wärtsiläs lead agency together with an ecosystem of public relations and production partners.

RESULTS

The operation was launched in the SMM, the leading international maritime trade fair, in September 2018. The launch was a success and in addition to wide coverage in industry media, it has been featured in Forbes, It’s Nice That and Die Welt among others.
