Cinia – Double Materiality Assessment

Strategic sustainability for a digitalized world – Double materiality assessment for Cinia

Companies across Europe are getting ready for CSRD sustainability reporting. Cinia, a leading Finnish company providing critical, high-reliability network, software, cloud and cyber security solutions, collaborated with Miltton to carry out a double materiality assessment. Assessing double materiality is not just a prerequisite for a CSRD report, but a tool for the leadership to assess sustainability on a strategic level. It entails impacts, risks and opportunities and is directly linked to value creation.

Insight & impact highlights

  2. As assessed also from financial perspective the prioritized sustainability topics will guide Cinia’s strategy work in the future

  3. The double materiality assessment is an enlightening process also in terms of gaining better understanding about company’s impacts in the whole value chain. And moreover, about the impacts that are yet unknown. In Cinia’s case, as a result of the double materiality assessment a clear need for a further human rights assessment of the supply chain was identified.

“The whole double materiality process was facilitated in a structured and clear manner. We were happy to see how well Miltton understood our business and its challenges. The process was carried out very systematically, and we were also happy to receive all the results and documentation in a clear format and within the agreed time frame.”
