Miltton to support Finland’s pavilion at COP31 building on the success of COP30

Finland is preparing for a strong international presence at COP31, the UN Climate Change Conference taking place in Antalya, Turkey, in November. As announced by the Finnish Government, Finland will once again build its own country pavilion to showcase pioneering climate solutions and enable new forms of global collaboration.

Miltton is proud to continue as a core implementation partner alongside the Ministry of the Environment, Ministry for Foreign Affairs, Climate Leadership Coalition, Confederation of Finnish Industries (EK), Finland Chamber of Commerce, Technology Industries of Finland and UN Global Compact Network Finland. The pavilion will mark the third time Finland presents its climate expertise through a dedicated pavilion at COP.

“COP30 proved how powerful a platform a well‑curated country pavilion can be,” says Jan Westö, Chief Growth Officer at Miltton. “Global climate platforms are where future markets, regulations, and partnerships are shaped. For Finnish organizations, active participation is essential; it’s how they position themselves early as credible solution providers for investors, customers, and global and regional policymakers.”

Building on the success of COP30

At COP30 in Belém, Brazil, Finland’s pavilion stood out as a collaborative stage where companies, researchers, cities and civil society came together to highlight Finnish innovation, digitalization and climate-smart industrial solutions. The pavilion gathered partners from heavy industry to nature-based solutions, and brought together over forty organizations from business, academia, the public sector and NGOs.

Miltton supported Finland’s presence at COP30 through strategic communications, partner coordination, event production, and international visibility efforts. According to Westö:

“Finnish organizations should make full use of global climate platforms. They offer a unique opportunity to advance business targets linked to the green transition, whether that is stakeholder engagement, thought‑leadership positioning, or influencing policy”

COP31: A renewed focus on implementation and scalable solutions

COP31 will be co‑presided by Turkey and Australia, with negotiations chaired by Australia but the conference hosted in Antalya. According to the Finnish Government, the meeting is expected to focus on implementation, climate finance and scaling solutions at a time when global ambition must translate into measurable progress.

The Finland Pavilion will:

  • highlight Finnish strengths in climate mitigation and adaptation
  • showcase scalable technological and nature-based solutions
  • bring forward new models for industrial transformation and circularity
  • serve as a meeting point for policymakers, businesses, investors and researchers

“Finland’s strength is an ecosystem approach, where industry, science, policy and civil society work together,” Westö adds. “We are committed to strengthening the impact of Finnish business on the most important climate platforms and ensuring that Finnish solutions play an even larger role in the global market for green growth.”

Partner search opens in March 2026

The partner search for the Finland Pavilion at COP31 will open in March 2026. Organizations with ambitious and scalable climate solutions will have the opportunity to join the pavilion and shape Finland’s presence at the world’s most influential climate event.

The call is open to:

  • companies
  • cities and regions
  • research institutions
  • foundations and NGOs

Interested organizations are encouraged to reach out to Miltton directly.

“We welcome organizations that want their climate solutions to be seen, heard and adopted globally,” says Westö. “COP31 is not just a conference, it’s a gateway to international influence, investment and collaboration. We look forward to building a strong and ambitious coalition for Finland.”
