Rönnholm has previously served as Secretary General of the Social Democratic Party of Finland (SDP) and has worked for many years in Brussels as a consultant and expert. Most recently, he worked in Geneva as a Senior Advisor at the International Labour Organization (ILO).
Changes in the international political landscape are increasingly directly reflected in companies’ operating environments, affecting both their growth and performance. Entering new markets requires a deep understanding of the societal and political context. Preparedness, foresight and analysis of the operating environment — and integrating these into corporate strategy and new business opportunities — are becoming ever more critical.
“In addition to providing up-to-date situational awareness, I want to work together with clients to identify the geopolitical and business hot spots of the world — regions and developments that require active monitoring and effective risk management in order to be turned into opportunities for sustainable growth,” says Antton Rönnholm.
Miltton has for years had strong capabilities and deep expertise in geopolitics and geopolitical analysis, particularly through its think tank Nordic West Office. Under Rönnholm’s leadership, Miltton will further strengthen its ability to offer Finnish and international clients not only geopolitical analysis and strategy services, but also support in international stakeholder engagement, communications and EU affairs.
“Global crises and geopolitical tensions now directly impact companies’ day-to-day decision-making. Antton Rönnholm’s ability to analyse and anticipate changes in the operating environment for Finnish and international clients strengthens Miltton’s position as a strategic partner,” says Kaius Niemi, Deputy CEO of Miltton Group.
