The appointment strengthens Miltton’s strategy, where technology and AI are seen as enablers for combining analysis, societal insight and human action into new kinds of high‑value client solutions. For Miltton, AI is not a standalone technology initiative, but part of how organizations make decisions, build trust and create impact in an increasingly complex operating environment.
Lassi Kurkijärvi has more than two decades of experience in leading digital business, technology and strategic transformation. Most recently, he has served as Chief Technology Officer at Sofigate, and has held senior technology and business leadership roles in several Finnish and international organizations, including Sanoma and Solita. In recent years, Kurkijärvi has focused in particular on applying AI as part of everyday organizational work, leadership and decision‑making.
At Miltton, Kurkijärvi will work together with the Group’s businesses to build AI‑driven operations that move from individual projects toward scalable AI services and solutions. He will also work closely with Miltton’s clients, acting as a sparring partner for communications and public affairs professionals, business leaders and IT decision‑makers alike. As technology reshapes value creation and interaction across entire ecosystems, AI is no longer just an IT-topic, but a leadership and stakeholder issue that touches the whole organization. At Miltton, AI is not an isolated experiment or toolset, but an integral part of everyday work and culture.
Kaius Niemi, Deputy CEO, Miltton:
“AI is not a single technology project or a passing hype, but a leadership issue and a long‑term transformation alongside other major shifts. What matters now is the ability to make AI a governed, strategic and continuously learning part of everyday organizational life. Lassi’s appointment strengthens Miltton’s ability to build an international AI portfolio and to support our clients through this transformation with ambition – focused on practical implementation and real business value.”
Lassi Kurkijärvi, Chief AI & Technology Officer, Miltton:
“AI is still too often viewed too narrowly, either as machines replacing people or as a way for people to do the same work faster. I believe that together with AI, people and organizations can learn to create something entirely new, something that can be ten times better than what exists today. This is not just about automation, but about new kinds of services, decision‑making and interaction. That’s why AI is far too important to be left as a purely technology or IT issue. What we are witnessing is a transformation that touches leadership, trust and how people communicate and act together. This is exactly why Miltton felt like the right place for me. Here, societal understanding, business, communications and the courage to build new thinking with clients come together. I’m excited to contribute my experience in applying new technologies to this whole.”
